Well today mom decided that we should make dad some peanut butter cookies, he has been asking for them for awhile. So after we had lunch mom got all the ingredients out and the cookbook. She read me all the directions and I helped pour in all the stuff. And of course between steps I had to tast the progress. And when mom was done mixing with the mixer she let me lick the beaters, that is the best part of baking in case you were wondering. After that we had to put small balls of dough on the cookie sheet, then mom took a fork and made criss crosses on the dough. 
She then put them in the oven, I had to let her do that part because it is very hot and could hurt me. After they were done she springled them with sugar and once they were cool she let me try one. I have to tell you I really prefer the beaters to the finished cookie. There is just something about getting dough all over your face that makes it taste so much better. Anyway we had lots of fun and dad was surprised when he got home and we gave them to him. He loved them!
