When he received his kit at his December Pack Meeting, he immediately starting thinking of what he wanted to design his car to look like and who would help him. We all automatically thought, Gran Gran. Well Gran Gran decided to get some outside help being that she had never done this before. So "Uncle" Greg offered to take on the challenge. We all took part in developing a cool car. I have never purchased so many shades of green before. LOL. Frank decided he wanted a Mine Craft Car. It looked amazing when all done.
When Frank did his test drive he listened carefully to what the older boys told him about setting his car on the track. Then he watched with amazement as his car raced down. He was so excited for Saturday to get here.
Then Saturday finally arrived. He weighed his car in and then placed it on the official table where it would sit until time to race. Once his name was called he retrieved his car and began. He did fantastic. He raced many times and won 2nd place in the Tiger Scout race. We were all so proud of him. He did amazing on his car and racing it. But more than being proud that he won 2nd place, we were proud of the sportsmanship he showed and wonderful behavior. He sat the whole time and did not run around. He told all the other tigers they did a good job. He never was boastful or bragging about winning. He actually didn't show much excitement until it was all over. He did not cheer for any one person he cheered for all as they raced. Once the race was completely over he went and told the first place winner he did good and took a picture with him. He showed such great sportsmanship and it really pleased me as a mom.
He immediately wanted pictures with all of us and wanted me to send a picture to Bryan. Then we went to a baby shower and he was able to show his cousins his car and trophy. It was a wonderful day of excitement for him. He had a blast and it was a wonderful experience for all of us!
